Remembering Harambe on Memorial Day

silver back gorilla Harambe

Remembering Harambe this Memorial Day. Please stand with me in support of Harambe, remembering his life, asking his life was not in vain.

While I know that many express grief through debate, analysis, criticism, critique, judgment and/or petitions, etc, this post is specifically for sending Harambe support, well wishes and gratitude for his life. Don’t we all want that when we pass? There are plenty of other sites and places to enter in the debate, please do so there.

Here’s To New Beginnings,

I felt Harambe’s presence strongly this morning as I arose. I sense he would also like prayers for the community he left behind; certainly the other gorilla’s will be grieving his death. I also sense that this event has happened to help us look at the inhumanity of zoos and consider better ways to relate–and learn about–our animal relations who live in the wild.

Hello Deborah, thanks for stopping by and commenting. I am in complete agreement that it is time each and every human learned and practiced new ways of connecting with our animal kin.
